>>13091778The Pikachu in that trailer is not Ash's Pikachu. Ohtani has not played a single other Pikachu on the show, just Ash's. This isn't the dub where they just recycle the same voice for every Pokemon of the same species.
It's just as "noteworthy" as Satomi Korogi not playing that evil Togepi in that DP filler, or Mika Kanai not playing that random Jigglypuff in that Battle Frontier episode. Their voices are tied to specific characters, not specific Pokemon.
