I suggest either waiting for a special where its dropped in price or comes with a game.
Or go to a shady used game store mostly because you toss them $20 and they will shove as many things as they can into your bag since they're handling stolen items and need to get rid of if quick. If theres a guy standing outside of the place trying to get you to buy stuff, youre in the right place.
Or just go with a regular 3DS. They're pretty good devices regardless of size
