Actually I recently picked the game up because I originally just skipped over Gen III, and I'm really having trouble completing it because its just so fucking boring.

Emerald isn't that much of a drastic difference from RS. It had some obvious storyline tweaks and incorporated the event islands from FRLG, but basically it was like replaying Ruby. And it really wasn't that great the first time around.

Everyone knows the best game in the series is the one you enjoyed the most.
