You're wrong.

What defines a Pokemon is not how it looks, but whether GameFreak recognizes it as a Pokemon or not. If GameFreak published all of the Fakemon on deviantart into X&Y, they'd be Pokemon, whether you me, or the guy down the hall likes it or not.
