Pokemon Showdown Tips Thread

No.13105389 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hi /vp/.
So I've recently gotten into competitive Pokemon, using PokemonShowdown. I looked up some information on different strategies and threw together a team that I think is pretty good type coverage wise, and strategy wise; However I still get my ass whooped everytime I face someone. Can you guys give me some tips on my team? Thanks.

Ninjask
>Lead/Baton passer
Knows:
>Baton Pass
>Substitute
>Sword Dance
>Protect
Main Strategy:
Sword Dance then baton pass to my Dragonite/Krookadile

Dragonite
>Bulky Physical Sweeper
Knows:
>Dragon Claw
>Earthquake
>Ariel Ace
>Fire Punch
Main Strategy;
Use as a Physical Sweeper. He can at least normally damage every Pokemon, making him very useful.

Blissey
>Healer/Defensive Soaker/Crippler
Knows:
>Aromatherapy
>Toxic
>Thunder Wave
>Softboiled
Main Strategy:
Use Aromatherapy if pokemon are asleep/paralyzed etc., also use to cripple pokemon with Toxic and Aromatherapy. Softboiled to keep her alive.

Thundurus-Therian
>Fast Special Sweeper
Knows:
>Nasty Plot
>Agility
>Thunderbolt
>Darkpulse
Main Strategy:
Use agility, then nasty plot, then sweep other Pokemon with Darkpulse/Thunderbolt

Lucario
>Fast Special Sweeper
Knows:
>Ice Punch
>Flash Cannon
>Aurora Sphere
>Shadow Ball
Main Strategy:
Mainly added to be more prepared for various types of pokemon. Used when needed to sweep another Pokemon.

Krookadile
>Bulky Physical Sweeper
Knows:
>Shadow Claw
>Earthquake
>Crunch
>Aqua Tail
Main Strategy:
Added for better Type Coverage, and also because Krookadile is an awesome Pokemon. After Ninjask uses his Sword Dance, switch to Krookadile if he is better suited against the target than Dragonite.

Well any tips would be great. I haven't won a single match yet.
