I love most of the cross-gen evos (except Magmortar) and I find that prevos can add some depth to certain evolutionary line. Though Pinsir and Heracross definitely don't need either.

Pinser is way to average and outclassed by most of its uses, even in pve.If they don't make it evolve they could at least improve the movepool and the stats repartitions.
