I waited a couple years after Gen 3 had come out to try Ruby and Sapphire. After all no kids my age were playing it any more so I had no way of knowing if it was as good as Gen 2. Then my neighbors, who were a couple years younger than me, got Ruby and I saw you could run and how awesome the graphics were. That night I had a dream about Gold and Crystal walking up a hill, and when they reached the top they had become Brendan and May. The next day I went out and bought myself a Ruby version. It felt like they had passed on the torch and it was time to start a new adventure.
