You would be surprised how little that weakness matters. Especially in a meta of rain abuses and sneaky pebbles.

I don't even use fire attacks to deal with ferrothorns; i just taunt or trick them choice items to ruin their day.

The only Fire move it gets hit by is Hidden Power Fire, usually in the rain. Aside from that, it's arguably the best Poke in OU along with Scizor, Keldeo, and Landorus.

Well there is the rare team where they have a specific ferro counter: magnezone.
