Rescue Team: Totally unmoved - didn't really care about the partner, and I wanted to go back to the human world (If you apply the self-insertion adventure that the pokemon games do as a whole)
Explorers: My eyes widen and my face shivered this time around. But if you ask me, I think the scene right before Grovyle's 'Sacrifice' was the saddest where you learn that your lifespan, no matter what happens, has now been cut to just a few more hours. That being said, your 'death', Grovyle's episode ending and Igglybuff's episode endings also had quite some emotional weight.
Gates: The ending is what the ending of Rescue Team should have been. That sort of ending only works if I get attached to the characters, something that only Gates did well out of the three (Explorers as well, only if you count the special episodes), successfully making a good illusion of leaving friends behind, but the best part of the ending is that they didn't reverse right before 'The End' giving the feels far more sticking power after I put down the 3ds and when I played again to do the post game.
