Convince me to get myself a copy of Platinum, /vp/.

I haven't played the Sinnoh games anywhere near as much as the other four gens, and everyone seems to rave about Platinum.

Recently started a game on a friend's copy of Diamond, and am enjoying it - but is it worth getting a copy of Platinum and going through that instead? Main reason is simply to enjoy playing the gen I neglected before X/Y come out.
