Is using Steven Stone's team a plausible choice for competing? Not like on Showdown, but like against friends or whatever.

Probably not, a single ground or fire move will destroy most of the team.
I use a modified Colress team myself, Beheeyem, Metagross and Rotom are kickass.

Probably not. Not even if you optimized them. You'd probably smoke people that don't know about EVs and IVs, but true competitive would smash this to bits.

I currently have Steel based team like Steven, it gets the job done. But like anon said above, one fire or ground type move... your fucking hosed. My Aggron has to be the best pokemon in te team but gets constantly shit on by earthquake. Go for it and see how you like it. Just be prepared for those two obstacles
