He isn't a rock type because he isn't a rock. Beheeyem's design is based on an alien trying to disguise himself as a human. That's why he's wearing a trenchcoat, sunglasses and big ol' hat. Other than being brown, nothing about him insinuates that he shares connections with rocks.
