So, is pic related technically a Unova Pokémon? It's only found in the wild in Unova.

Are there any other examples of that? I think I remember Togepi or one of the baby Pokémon introduced in Gen 2 being native to Sinnoh.

jynx, mr. mime, and farfetch'd could only be obtained thru in-game trade in gen 1, and wild eevee can only be found in BW2 (and sinnoh's trophy garden if that counts)

there's also porygon, which is only found in the wild in white forest, although it's probably not "native" to it

I think they're only found on the route with the Weather Institute.

So my theory is that the scientists put some out on the field for their research, and they bred or something.

You cant encounter Castform in that route, you only get it through an event inside the building.
