Find other ways to spend your time and stuff.
I've found that the more you focus and try to force yourself to try and get out of writer's block the deeper you dig yourself into it.
I've found that writer's block is usually caused by losing your will to write (there's a specific way to describe what I mean but I can't for the life of me remember atm) so trying to just write tends to exacerbate it more than help you usually.

You should switch the dialog with the dash to just regular quote marks, though. It looks strange on its own and since you mixed the two ways it looks sloppy and inconsistent.
Also I can't say I like how you gave her her Japanese Pokemon Special surname. I'm guessing you didn't give her the English name since she's not supposed to be related to Birch in your fic, but it's another inconsistency issue I think. Also if you're trying to reference Pokemon Special with her I think it would be best to follow her nicknaming scheme with her Swampert too, although that's not really necessary and just a suggestion on my part.

This reminds me very much of an old fic from 2002 I read called "Broken Wings." It's a very similar premise; a middle-aged Ash has a genetic disease and the story chronicles his slow downfall and how the illness effects his family and friends.

To be honest, unless the surname ends up having some important role you can usually go without mentioning it at all without any issues.
Yeah, you're better off doing that.
Typos aren't really a big deal in the early stages, so long as you go back and proofread before you post the finished story (which you should always do anyway).

Me in the Hospital with Misty and Roger Anonymous Sat 03 Aug 2013 20:19:10 No. 13245926 Report Well, I was just at Home and I was watching some TV on the couch, It was a nature show with some videos of Birds and forests and stuff. And I thought it was a good show, Well I got up to have a snack and I felt a really bad pain in my chest. I lost my breath and I couldnt stand up and I was crying really hard and then my vision went black and I passed out, on the Floor.

Misty said, "Well Damien we found you were unconcious so we took you to the Hospital for treatment, You have a bad illness now, But it will get better because we are taking care of you now. The Crystals will heal you although there is some side effects. "What side effects?" I said. Misty said, "Well these Crystals sometimes cause a patients hands to grow large. The fingers become long and bony. In fact, It seems like you are getting this affect now." And I looked at both of my Hands the one with the Cannula in it aswell as the normal one. And, My fingers had grown from the normal size of about 3.5 inches to about 4.3 inches now. And the Joints in my fingers were begining to get prominant as well as the tendins and veins in my Hand when my hands were very smooth before. And this really scared me and I began to Cry again. Misty said "What is wrong Damien" And I tried to say something but I was crying too hard to get the words out.
Well, Misty said "Please stop Crying Damien." And she got a Sterile tissue and she wiped my face off, While wearing the Nitrile gloves Well I kept crying anyway, But she said "Its ok. You are going to be ok because you are in the hosptial. Now, Its time for some food because you have to build up your Immune system and get strong". And I said, "ok." And I was happy because I was hungry and I wanted to eat some Pizza or maybe Chips, or have a Tim Hortons Coffee. But then i remembered about the Nasogastric tube. And I started to cry.
Well Misty took out a plastic,clear Syringe. It didnt have a Needle on the end.

And then she put some water in it which felt really cold, Finally she took out some more Medical tape and taped the tube back to my face and she put the syringe in the Disposal.
Well I felt kind of weird inside, and sad and I was still crying a little. Misty said, "Ok Damien, I have to leave now. Im sorry but the
Doctor will be here soon to give you your treatment." And I said "Ok." I looked at my hands again and they were at least 5 inches now, and I was crying some more because my body was changing.
I looked at the TV and I tried to watch it but it was just comercials. But I guess I lost track of time because I saw the Doctor was here, And I was very suprised because I definately recognized this Doctor. It was my best friend, Roger! He was pretty tall, About 6'4 and very thin with large, long hands, not from Crystals but because of the Marfan's Syndrome that he has. He had meidium length light brown hair with greyish blue eyes and was wearing black rim Glasses.He had large size Nitrile gloves on his long hands.

And he walked out of the Hospital room, he came back 3 and a half minutes later holding a large, neon red floating Crystal in a diamond type shape that was symetrical and had a lot of Facets.
Roger said "This crystal is the most powerful treatment in the Hospital, And it will definately heal you. So, Just touch it and hold on for a few minutes." I was really scared and I was crying loud and I didn't want Roger to see me cry but I couldnt stop. I said "I don't want to touch the crystal because my hands will grow large" while i was crying. But Roger said, "If you don't touch the Crystal you will get sicker" but I just cried more. So then, Roger grabbed onto my Wrist on the hand that had the cannula in it with his large hands that had Blue nitrile gloves on them. His fingers were so long that they wrapped all the way around my wrist. And he grabbed my arm and made me touch the large, floating red Crystal. I was crying so hard that I couldn't see anymore and I was making loud noises but I heard
Roger said "It is ok Damien, You only have to hold on for 5 minutes".

Well, I realized its true and I stopped crying. And Roger smiled at me, And I smiled back into his blue eyes. I said "Ok. I guess I will just learn how to live with these new Hands." And I hugged Roger and I went down to the lobby to leave the Hospital.

I actually have already written an extended scene in an ongoing fic I've been working on where a Houndoom attacks a Deerling in the forest late at night with lethal intent.
I honestly didn't intend it to (since I don't write porn) but it somehow reminds me of a rape scene and it freaked me out writing it a bit, though nothing sexuals going, just eating stuff.
Especially since the Deerling that gets attacked is a main character already established well in advance of the Houndoom attacking her.
If anyone cares enough to see that snipped I could try to find a way to share it, its in kind of an unusual format though.

As a discussion topic for us then, how would you prefer to see relationships portrayed in Pokemon fanfictions? Personally, if I incorporate anything that isn't pokeXpoke, I'll try to give a detailed explanation as to why it's happening from a biological standpoint. That's just me though.

Secondly, while I had a laugh at your example, I find it difficult to fathom as a typical example of a pokeXhuman fiction Just look at the sheer number of fictions involving humanoid pokemon. Some go beyond your example of primal beastiality, that's all I'm saying. Then again I have an open mind when it comes to fictional characters.
You bring up an interesting point however. The Pokemon's side/perspective is rarely illustrated in as much detail as the human's side.

When it comes to making new pokemon for a fanfic of a new region it'll take longer to get produced due to creative block not only in writing but in creating new ideas and designs.
I thought about doing this before but scrapped the idea purely because I wouldn't be able to come up with so many pokes.
