Some things just occurred to me anon.

1) If poke-balls are a result of technology then how were pokemon dealt with before their invention? Were they like animals, i.e. some had been tame for generations and others were dealt with by force, or did people just have to kick the shit out of them & keep them on a leash to train them?

2) Starters, starters are never found in the wild, does this mean the starters given to the trainers in each game by the professors are endangered species & their distribution is an attempt to bolster their numbers?
