I think X and Y is going to be what BW was supposed to be; a proper reboot of the series. As good as BW is, it should never have been released on the DS as it never truly felt like the next game in the series, despite every single aspect of it being new and separate from the previous titles. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface, but had it been released on the 3DS I think it would have received a completely different reception, and I think XY will overshadow BW more than any instalment in the series has done so far.
