If pokemon were real, what kinds would live where you live? And what kinds would you catch?
Since I live in Manitoba, I could probably get a fair amount of different water pokemon including my bro quagsire.

Gotta assume generic first area Pokemons would run ramped. Some very rare Braviary would be around. lotoad and psyducks. Pikachu and emolg would be doin their thing. I like to imagine up near the power plant some magnemite and voltords. Riolu, magikarp, and some geodudes. I imagine this all the time haha.

I live in Las Vegas, so I guess you'd see a lot of rock and ground-types, any desert-dwelling pokemon (maybe a flygon if I'm lucky), any urban pokemon, and any pokemon commonly kept as pets. And since Orre had a Skarmory flying overhead, I'm gonna go ahead and say wild Skarmory. Elygem and Beheeyem would definitely be present out in the desert where people see UFO's, and I'm sure poison types like Garbodor, Muk, or Weezing wouldn't be hard to find either in the metropolitan area or in the tunnels beneath town.

In South Australia, there'd be a lot of Bug types, Joltik and Spinarak would be a common sighting in households, with occasionally some Kecleon. Sometimes you might spot a Volcarona flying overhead, as well some Poison types and early route rodents living in the city. In more urban areas there'd be some Kangaskhan

I live in a little asian filled city near LA.
It's urban but has a lot of pretty green places and parks.
I'd say mostly grass/poison/steel.
Oh and with the amount of KBBQ places there'd be a shit ton of Ambipoms working in those restaurants.

As someone living in South Africa it is now my time to shine. I live in a smallish town in the Eastern Cape. The town is surrounded by bushy hills and a bunch of game reserves.

I have always imagined this town to be fairly early game town with rodents like Patrat running around in town and Watchhogs hanging around the outskirts. We have loads of Starlys nesting all over town and a rampant feral Meowth problem. The large informal settlement to the South of the town has led to an increase in the garbage poison types; Muk, Weezing and Garbador. The university in town maintains a fairly decent Botanical Garden which should attract a few bug and grass types (that won't usually be found on the route outside of town), almost like the old Safari Parks.

Outside town on the routes between the other surrounding times there will be troops of Mankeys led by the occasional Primeape. Region specific forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck can also be found. Mandibuzzs fly around looking for carcasses of pokemon that lie in the road after they have been hit by a car. Because of the terrain there will also be a bunch of ground types like Geodude, Sandshrew and Aron to be found. There will be the odd grass type floating about outside of town.

This is just a rough idea of what
The game reserves around town breed various rare pokemon. The one keeps a small group of Girafarig while another has a Rhyhorn breeding programme. Large herds of Tauros and Blitzle and Zebrastrika aren't uncommon either in these Reserves.

Let's see, since I live in Albuquerque, there'd be a surprising variety for a desert city. I'd see Sandshrew and Patrat in the fields instead of prairie dogs, and I'd probably see quite a few Pidove downtown. I imagine there'd also be Magikarp and Barboach in the river, Weedle, Wurmple, and the occasional Joltik in the bosque, and Butterfree and Vivillon in my favorite city park. Oh, and let's not forget the Ducklett pond at UNM.

I live in central Florida so I could obviously score a totodile or a squirtle by going to the beach. I could probably find a joltik or magnemite easily because the complex I live in has lots of generators. I could very easily catch a worm/ moth pokemon here. There's a marsh and a lake near by for some good water types, and also lots of lizards (treeko) and snakes(ekans) that I could Get. I might mange to get a zubat on some nights. I could also snag a murkrow, because there's tons.
There's also farms nearby so I could get horses, pigs, and cows(ponyta, spoink, and tauros)
The starters here are likely totodile, treeko, and tepig. I'd choose treeko and use him to catch a squirtle and magnemite, maybe a murkow. I'd try to catch an absol (there's firetrucks here every month) and maybe go ahead and level up a caterpie to a butterfree. I'd also try to get a dratini in the lake.
So my team would be
Treeko
Squirtle
Magnemite
Murkrow
Absol
Butterfree[boxed]
And Dratini.

- A nearby brackish lake is home to trout only. (Basculin? idk)
- Streets lined with elm trees. (Oorotto? Surprisingly few tree Pokemon)
- Town is known for a gothic style clocktower, which I could see housing several ghost types (Misdreavus, Shuppet)
- Foxes. Foxes everywhere. (Vulpix)

And of course I'd have a Ninjask and Shedinja, from the Cicada I found and kept overnight when I was 4. Bros for life.

I live in the outskirts of London, near the M25 where it's very green, but still has a decent population. Because of the greenery, I could imagine grass simple Pokémon of the likes of the cherim, roselia and foongus lines mixed in with a lot of the basic birds and a decent amount of the smaller bug types like Joltik and paras. You'd also get simple mammal pokémon like pachirisu, deerling and ratatas. Also Vulpixes, scruffy, urban vulpixs everywhere. The high number of pet owners would probably mean a fuck load of the eeveelutions roaming around too. Further into central London you'd drop most of the grass types and start seeing a fuck tonne of trubbishes all over the place and a few magnemites as well. Also I've always imagined the river Thames would be infested with a colony of grimers and muks.

I totally haven't thought about this a lot

I'd probably have a feline pokémon like Meowth, Lillipup,, Farfetch'd, Pidove, Wingull and Tympole or like Surskit, Spinarak, Ledyba, Spearow etc.

Lots of Unfezant and Buneary/Lopunny. Also many Patrats. Also I could imagine many Bird-of-Prey Pokemon, many plant/bug/ground-pokemon. Also I have a fairly big pond close by, so some kind of water pokemon too. Around this time of the year, probably some fire pokemon may migrate here, after all we have between 30C° and 40C°, every day and almost no rain right now either. Also, after seeing the picture of OP, I could imagine Dunsparce here too. I could live with that.

Maybe a Scraggy or two.

Lots of fish and water mons.
The occasional bunery or Meowth.
Grimer, Muk
Mudkip and Wooper would make sense too.
