I'm just dropping in from /mu/, having recently gotten back into Pokemon after finding my old LeafGreen and Pearl cartridges, and want to play some of the newer games.
I don't have a DS, but want to know if it's better to:
-Get a DS/DSL to play original and newer games, excluding X/Y.
-Get a 3DS to play newer games, and upcoming games.
I'm really leaning towards getting an original DS, mainly because my Lite's hinge broke, and it's really cheap now, but I'm seeing the 3DS going for as low as $100 in some places, and despite not having a GB cartridge slot, it looks really attractive...
