Be honest for a second /vp/

How would you end Ash's adventure? Do you think he has potential and that he should stay as the main character?

a) Kill him off be him dying peacefully
b) Kill him off by one of the evil organizations (Team Rocket, Plasma, etc)
c)Keep him as the Main Character. He has hope and potential
d) Other

Basically, what kind of future do you want to see Ash have?

But seriously. That would have been one of the most PERFECT fucking ways to end Ash's moment in the anime and make way for a new Protagonist. Shame we'll never get one. Pikachu is just too popular to drop or be slapped onto another Trainer.

Final Movie in which Future Ash and Old Mewtwo go back in time to stop Young Ash from angering Yveltal and destroying the universe.

To do that, they must ensure that Team Rocket finally catches Pikachu so that Ash can no longer be a trainer.

throw in some bullshit plot with the X/Y legends just for flavor.

The twist: During the battle with Team Rocket, Pikachu is pushed so hard to its limit that it finally evolves into Raichu. Ash and Raichu anally devastate both Team Rocket AND Future Ash and Mewtwo.

Recognizing that newfound power, the three groups team up to take down Yveltal and save the Pokemon Universe.

yadda-yadda-yadda

After his amazing victory, he is given an invitation to come train to become a true Pokemon Master in the Mt. Silver mountain range with his father, Red, who was watching over him the entire time, waiting for him to finally mature and do what he had to do.

(18 years later)

Ash and Mayhave a male child named Cinna (after Cinnabar, a place destroyed by an ASH-spewing volcanoe) who they mysteriously leave at the doorstep of another young woman living in Pallet Town by the name of "Dalia," beginning the cycle anew.

Ash returns to Kanto to once again challenge the Indigo League. After legitimately obtaining all 8 Kanto badges, Ash finds that all of his past rivals are participating in the League. After defeating Richie in the final round, Ash is allowed to challenge the current champion, Tobias.

Ash comes in with his strongest Pokemon and manages to defeat Tobias in a close battle. Despite winning, Ash declines the title so that he can continue traveling. He then takes over the Battle Pyramid so that he can travel across the land, battling the strongest trainers around.

This. The anime has long passed thepoint where it could be saved, so if we go by what it deserves this should definitely be the ending.

On a realistic side, i would just cancel it after a random episode. At least that way, animenazis will accept the anime doesnt return anything to its watchers.

Of course, i would replace it for another story in another universe without the original vas for game characters. With good writing, although that would make the fanbase hate it.

Could work like this:

have him finally win a league, but next gen he loses, and he can't take the loss. he decides he can't be a pokemon master if he can't even keep a win streak, so then he calls back every single one of his pokemon he has at oak's. then he lines up the pokeballs, and starts smashing them with a hammer whilst singing the original anime theme song. After all of his pokeballs are smashed, he clls pikach back into the ball and smashes it as well, when he slits his throat.

End the Journey of Ask Ketchum:

It's dawn. You see footsteps coming from two opposing roads walking towards one another. As the sun rises, Ash and Gary have a stand off right beneath the glimmering sun. Ash calls out Pikachu and Gary pulls out a Pokeball and sends out Arcanine. And there they have one all out Pokemon battle using their strongest in the outskirts of Pallet town. Ash says his final speech:

"Gary, I've learned so much from travelling around this incredible world. People from all corners... They've all helped me along my journey to be where I am today. And now I'm going to show you just how much stronger I've gotten thanks to them. My friends, my Pokemon, my family. They ALL gave me this strength. Now! Let's see just how much that strength is worth in this battle!"

Gary puts in a couple words:

"You think this isn't going to be our final battle?"

Ash:

"No way! The Journey doesn't stop here! It never will! Because there are kids just like us who share the same dream we do! To become a Pokemon Master!

Gary:

"Hmph..."

Ash:

"Anyway! Let's get this started already! Pikachu, use quick attack!"

*Pikachu's cry echoes as the screen turns white*
*Screen turns black and a note appears on the screen that says "I hope your Journey with Ash Ketchum and his friends stay in your hearts forever... (The Pokemon Company and Satoshi Tajiri)" appear on the screen and the sound of a Pokeball opening is played as the text fades as you hear Pikachu's signature cry one last time*

Only fitting ending I see

If they still want to make anime bank give it a new main character and a team of writers who aren't aiming for an audience of clinical retards.
The only reason you have stupid crap like Ash checking his dex every two minutes is because they're taking the show slowly for the kids.

Either that or keep the show running the same and write a new anime in the same universe for an older audience, maybe have some battles when both champions reach the league.

I began to have feels and then it ended. Make it a whole battle and I'd be happy. Also ash's comment about future Pokemon Masters is too heavy handed and needs context to make sense in-world, like maybe he spent the past few episodes mentoring a kid or something.

You can't really just drop Ash from the show. To make his sendoff actually mean something, you'd need to fix the problems that have plagued the show since after the Indigo League and sort of ease into your new cast. This kind of development would take SEASONS to accomplish.

>Gen 6 anime: Ash actually becomes a Pokemon Master. He gets all the badges, wins the league with all his best Pokemon, has incredible adventures, grows as a character, all that stuff.

>Gen 8 anime: They part ways and now we can have gen 8 be a real anime of the kid becoming a Pokemon master with his own new companions. We'll see Ash again at the next league tournament, but he's not the focus of the anime any more.

I think what he was saying is you can't just cut him out in one fell swop, but you have to ease him out of the series and the new protagonist into it. The anon pulled it off in a rather nice way so you won't notice it immediately but, could tell he's moving into the background, then almost out of the series completely

A take on C:
Team Rocket has been getting sick of not having Ash's Pikachu. They set up the most grand scheme they've ever put together: Stealing Pikachu from Ash in his sleep. The plan goes off without a hitch, Pikachu is taken from Ash. Jesse and James taunt him to rescue his partner, thinking of it like a game.

Back at Rocket HQ, Giovanni stares in disbelief at the single Pokemn that has caused him and his organization so much grief. He can't believe that it's finally within his grasp, Pikachu is gone. He can't understand why Jesse and James stole a kid's best friend and greatest Pokemon, but he's proud of them for not being complete failures.

Ash is battling Rocket grunts constantly, trying to get to wherever Pikachu is. Jesse and James are basically his cheerleaders at this point, since his most valuable asset is going to be turned against him. They accidentally let slip that Giovanni has Pikachu, but they aren't concerned.

Giovanni can't comprehend what his goals ever were at this point. His hands are trembling and he's on the verge of tears. A grunt comes into his room to check on him, but he screams for the grunt to leave. Giovanni decides that the only thing he can do is bring Ash his Pikachu.

Ash finally makes it to the door of Giovanni. The rocket leader steps outside, and apologizes for everything they've ever done and gives Ash his Pikachu back.

They go on to beat the Pokemon League and Ash stops being a poorly written fuckwit

After the Kalos League finishes and Ash wins he hears about an All Star Tournament in which only League Winners can compete. He wins that shit and is crowned officially a legendary Pokémon Master.
He doesn't get to be a Pokémon Champion as I think that'd be too generic for the main character. Ending scene will be a few years later, Ash (actually aged this time) is living in a big ass mansion with a ranch with all his pokémon on it. He's having a party and all of his former rivals and travelling partners are there. Tracy and Gary are professors, May and Dawn top Coordinators, Cilan S class connaiseur, Iris is Unova Champion, Max Pokémon Trainer. Team Rocket also gets a goodbye with Jessie going back to contests, Meowth opening a noodle restaurant and James living in his big ass mansions with his pokemon. The end. New series with new main character starts.
