>>13183726The other gens really are not that nonlinear. Unova suffers more from shorter routes imo. Unova also didn't have a huge hard on for back tracking like gen 3.
Gen 5 had a lot of scripted events and was more story based so the linearity made sense.
Sinnoh is the worst region imo. Nothing really stands out, some of the worst characters. Overall really boring. Only good things were the split and some of the gym leaders. Other wise really uninspired and no real direction. Platinum was a little better but easily the worst gen by far. It felt like the developers didn't give many fucks.
