It's not difficult to make good bait, but bad bait is usually ironic and obvious
It's very difficult to distinguish what is and isn't bait when it's good bait. Besides, most threads with the "GENWAR IN THE OP" are usually easily spotted and eventually derailed and go off into some other post that starts arguments. It's not all about the OP.

Why does it even matter if they take the bait or not. It's some cheap chuckles for OP and there's no expense on posting your opinion, even if it isn't bait. If it really bothers you that much I'd suggest you just leave /vp/ entirely, or if at all possible, try to press that little button on the side of the OP to hide the thread. It's that simple.

We are not a fast board like /a/ that despite having many times more troll threads, most are ignored, since /a/ has a skill that is called NOT TAKING THE FUCKING BAIT EVERY SINGLE TIME.

/vp/ is not fast. Troll threads are made and they stick around for hours, days even, because I'll be damned if /vp/ is ever going to let a troll thread sunk to to the depths of page 10 without at least 100 replies under the belt
