Ever notice how Mickey Mouse's ears are always rotated to display 2 full circles to the screen? Celebi has a similar effect with it's head, otherwise shit turns out weird like that.

The war is WW2 you idiot. Surge stayed behind after it. The Kanto games are based on the Director's childhood growing up in post-war Japan

No. The games have nothing to do with WW2. The only mention of anything is Surge saying he is American and a Lt.

That in no way implies a war, or anything. He's just that, an American Lt.

It's confirmed that Pokémon RBY was inspired by the directors childhood running around catching bugs and trading them with friends.

You guys are massively overthinking things. Lots of americans stayed in Japan after the war, and to the Japanese who play the games it's pretty obvious that Surge is one of these
