I can't specifically guarantee anything, really. I don't know what Fennekin will evolve into, so I don't know if I'm picking Fennekin or Froakie. If I pick Froakie, Talonflame is guaranteed a place for at least a while). If I pick Fennekin, I'll likely end up looking for a Magikarp to evolve into Gyarados as the mandatory Surf user and generally useful Water-type. Honedge looks cool, and Ghost/Steel is a type combination that I like the sound of, but chances are I'll only use it if it evolves from, or better yet into, something, because I have next to no use for single-stages, and all signs right now point to it being a single-stage monster. I don't know how useful Malamar would be: while I like both of its types individually, Dark/Psychic is a combination without good type synergy, nullifying Dark's resistances to Ghost and Dark, Psychic's resistance to Fighting, and providing a crippling 4x weakness to Bug. Maybe if it turns out to be an offensive Pokémon with a good movepool I can find a spot for it on my team, but otherwise I doubt it. Pangoro might be cool to have, but I'm not sure if I'll end up giving it the same spot Scrafty held in B/W. Since I'm getting Y, I guess I'll at least end up catching Yveltal? But I'm not sure if it'll end up in my party.
