Why not? Sinnoh was a pretty nice region. The only things I can say that were bad about it was the slow speed and lack of Fire-types, which was fixed in Platinum.

There is no need for a remake at all. The games are, while being a bit slow mechanic-wise and lacking the Gen5 Pokémon, perfectly fine to play.
