How many more Gens do you honestly see Pokemon going?

I honestly believe it will finally end on the eighth generation with a total just shy of 1000 Pokemon

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept on churning out Pokemon games I just can't see them producing any more gens after a certain point though

They'll probably start doing the Black 2 White 2 format more, just to stall the Gen creating. I could also see them going back to Kanto/Johto/Hoenn but with new story/setting.

I think the series will keep going, gen after gen until they can't make money anymore.
So, I see them making thousands of Pokemon.

My hopes anyhow, so when I wake up from cryogenic freezing, I'll be able to catch all 4912 in gen 45 with my 6th evolution Gardevoir-Lopunny hybrid.

Pokemon will no longer be produced after generation XII, with the final Pokemon taking the 1999th spot (there will be rumors of a 2000th Pokemon, it's never revealed if it exists or not).

On a related note, main Pokemon games continue to be produced and sold and Hoenn does receive a remake, after Sinnoh's and another Kanto remake.
