Thinking of doing mono water on Platinum to become a true member of the master race.

What is the most fun type for mono runs, in your opinion? Is it your favourite type or another?

That'll make for a very interesting difficulty curve in Platinum I say go for it.

I'd love to do mono electric since so many electrc types are bro-tier, but in-game their movepools are severely limited. I tried doing it in Heartgold and they all ended up having T-bolt and T-wave with filler normal attacks

Bugs are always fun to use. I remember as a kid spending hours in the bug catching contest in Crystal. Start off with Caterpie, then reach the National Park and hunt for a Scyther.

Scizor was a bro ever since Gen 2.

Monograss in ruby= It wasn't difficult to build variety and sun support worked great.

Mononormal in emerald: Wasn't as great as grass, but did ok. Bonus points for cuteness.

Monowater in fire red= Water is a great type for such runs because of great varity e type combinations. Possibly even the best type.

I think monoflying would be great too. Hard mode= monobird.

Just finished a mono-Dark run with Drapion, Krookodile, Crawdaunt, Absol, Spiritomb and Houndoom. It was pretty fun, I got super attached to Drapion when I always thought it looked silly before.

It's always been so hard for me to decide on a favorite type. I've bounced around from dragon to psychic to fighting.
