How Deep do you think Character Customization will be?

I know we've seen some of the character customization options like hats and such, but those were just sprites and we only really got to see the stuff on your head.

We haven't gotten to see stuff like capes, different shoes, different jackets, ect. Or if we get the abilities to actually dress up like past characters.

So how deep do you guys think character customization will be?

Looks pretty obvious that you can change hairstyles, hats, shirts/jackets/coats, and maybe pants. Pretty deep, I just hope we get a good wellspring of options to choose from.

Also hair color if that counts as well, I hope you can get eye color contacts like in Animal Crossing New Leaf.
Also I kinda hope you can get special outfits based on characters in the series like player characters, grunts, gym leaders, etc.

He does, that's why we don't have to pay for any of the event Pokemon DLC for B2W2

He doesn't develop the Mystery Dungeon games so he has no ruling on whether or not they get DLC.

1: The purple haired dude and the third from the left girl are NPC trainer avatars, likely from the guys in Pokemon centers who ask "What kind of Trainer would you like people to see you as?"
2: Everybody has a hat. I don't think hats are ever going to come off of your head. Sunglasses can be removed, though, and either completely omitted or swapped for another accessory.
3: While the NPC trainers have their outfits completely sprited, Kalm and Serena both have generic stand-ins that have a color. If they were color swaps, like the skin and hats and hair, they would just do color swaps of the default outfit.

Instead, they are what we see there. I believe we're getting vastly different tops/outfits, haircuts, hair colors, hats, accessories, and skin colors.

That will probably be the extent of the customization. If you've played Shin Megami Tensei 4, it'll likely be like that, though your pants might stay the same since they're fairly neutral on both players.

Pretty much this.

Even though if you play as Calem, Serena has no hat, and vice versa, there's still no confirmation that it's possible to take it off if you're the player.

Remember, this is backwards Game Freak here.

I hope we can customize hair and skin when the game starts. I don't mind unlocking new clothes as the game goes on, but I don't like the long hair of the male protagonist.

That actually seems pretty fair since we would have spent a decent amount of time with the default outfits and Lumiose looks like it'll have a outfit shop where that billboard is.

No biggie, honestly. A lot of people will bitch for sure because the NPCs have them off, but honestly hats are a staple Pokemon tradition for me.

Those are trainer avatars, dumbass. One's the Lass and the other one is the Psychic. They are independent of customization as far as we know, just like how in previous Pokemon games you could pick a trainer class to appear as in the Union Room.
