>I had a dream >inb4 Genwunner That nintendo made a game that was sorta 8 bit style for the 3ds. Yeah it still had that 3d effect and the music is pure 8 bit chiptune status most of the game The only things that were not 8bit were the combat animations and the pokemon cries. The Game's graphics progresses like Evoland and by the time you finish it, it would be up to date graphics. This game is supposed to have all the pokemon in existence, and Catch-able Including all the starters from the previous games, (however to make it a challenge, the odds of finding them are slim) It starts out like Pokemon red/blue but It takes place three years after the events of Red and Blue.. You just moved to pallet town, Your house is on the left of the map where the roses used to be. Your mother tells you to get acquainted with the town while she manages the movers (machokes). The path to route one is blocked by a random npc who says "You might want to rethink where you want to step, there's wild pokemon beyond this grass" You go to Oak's lab and Meet Blue (the only person there), He then ask you for a favor and to deliver a parcel to the Viridian city pokemart, He then lets you choose a starter Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

You make your way through Route 1 as normal. Once you deliver the Parcel, the guy behind the counter says "Hey, take these pokeballs and come back when you catch two pokemon, I want to see if these old things still work". You have your option of catching from Route 1 and 22 (same pokemon from red and blue), Once you have caught 2 pokemon, The guy thanks you and gives you a letter to take back to blue along with a receipt. You make your way back to Pallet town and you hand over the letter and recipt to Blue. He then says thanks and gives you 5 pokeballs and 2 potions. He then asks back for his pokemon, saying "My dad would be furious if I were to to just give away his prized pokemon" You then make your way back to home and Professer Oak is there having coffee with your mother, he then intorduces himself and see's that you have two pokemon on you. He then hands you a pokedex and says something along the lines "I can see you have quite amazing potential, Have you ever consider being a pokemon trainer?"

You continue the game like normal, Set up time, have radio hint programs, NO PHONE WHATSOEVER,.. I'm actually having a mental block on how the story would continue in the game.. Except.. your rival is Blue's little sister. and all the gym leaders are the same except Bruno is the 8th Gym Leader. After you complete the Kanto Region map, Hoenn opens up for the gamer. After you beat Hoenn, you get Johto and Sinnoh, After you beat Johto or Sinnoh, You get Unova and Kalos

You'd have a team of level 100 Pokemon by the third region.

Artstyle, I like. An old skool graphical STYLE would be awesome to please the Genwunners. Note I said style, there would be much much more than 8-bits on screen, it would just have that feel to it, and the sounds would all be all 8-bit. As for the idea of "lets have a game with all the regions where you can catch everything", that is just awful. It cannot work because of level scaling issues, and also how bored you'll get over time. Games work by having a goal which you work towards and complete, but if you keep going "wait theres more", the player will get pissed off. One of trick of it is fine, great even (like GSC), but too much and it drags. Also the storyline setting you have is wack, including giving up your starter.

I could see the flaw in that.
But if we leave anything out, it just turns into a Genwunners dream. hmm... I wouldn't know how to start the thing
