Take a pokemon that is not based on any particular type of living creature. Got it? Describe, or better yet, MS Paint what you think it'd look like as a real creature. This one's a favorite. There's also another one of Flygon, but Flygon's already a bug/dragon/flying creature thing, so...Yeah! Go for it!
