Professor Oak had a team. I think it was in Green version or something he was like the "Red" champion you could go fight after you defeated Gary or whatever. Or maybe it was a glitch for all the versions.... I forget. He had the Starter you and Gary didn't pick and Arcanine, Gyrados, Exeggutor, and Tauros. All in the high 60s.

Well aware of that team but given that it's essentially Blue's team it's no fun to imagine that being his team. The Tauros was actually what put me on to the normal theme in the first place. He used Kangaskhan and Chansey in PokeSpe and Tauros, Chansey, Snorlax and Persian are all pretty powerful in the RBY metagame. Seems like he would have been legitimately dangerous in Gen I.
