I was going for one of those sexy semi-translucent gowns for the beauty but I've never made a sprite before so hopefully someone does something better.

I suppose it's possible, but it'd take some clever recoloring of a few areas. I'd like to change the pillow to white to remove all the blues, but then the top line of the pillow will get lost in the lines of his shirt... I'll think on it.

Drain Kiss is not the same as Giga Drain.
It restores THE WHOLE DAMAGE DONE, not half of it like all other draining moves.

I think I'll do them. The ones you posted are still using a shading style that's like Gen V's and not a Gen III shading style (Gen V focuses on simplicity and the actual line art, while Gen III focuses on shading more, if that makes any sense)

I designed the map so we have more freedom to change it.
The numbers represent the order of the villages with 0 being the home town, 1 being the next town until 12 which is the final vilalge

This was actually a suggestion in the last thread actually. The problem with this is that Reshiram and Zekrom were suggested to represent the truth that is edginess and the ideal of comfiness, which is ironic because they look like the opposite of what they represent. I have no idea how Kyurem fits into this though

Oh I see the issue, the shade you chose is WAY too light. don't be afraid to go a bit darker on the yellow even if you don't want it AS dark as the gen5 sprite. It's mouth is relying on getting definition from the darker shade.

you know, i love the starters but i feel like it's going to be really really difficult for them, since they're all terrible in terms of stats, and they aren't exactly easy to evolve. even their 3rd stages aren't that great, unless you design the game so that you find proper tms and stones and whatnot to make them decent. but it'll be very very hard for them all with very low defenses and terrible attack stats even just to fight the pokemon in the areas around the starting town...maybe we should pick different starters and then you're given an egg in the first or second town after the starter, that your grandma sent for you, and inside it has one of those at random?

I like the normal-trio as starters, it's cute.

We could adjust it so they evolve via level-up. A little challenge with stats never hurt anyone, and it's not like the other trainers are going to be that hard, they're all using comfy pokemon too except for the Edgeys, who's grunts we can just give easy pokemon anyway.

from left to right,
a big grimy city, slums above, mediocre houses below, inner city is all polluted. Sharp rocky shores in the north and south so people can't land there. A big swamp in the middle. Those line thingies are meant to be cliffs, then you have the big brown mess, where the west city dumps all of its waste, along with anything else the region has to get rid of including drugs and sludge. Then we have the volcano just cuz and then in the south east we have the nicest place on earth, it has trees, nice grass, a lake, nice buildings, but they make you go to womens studies, art, psychology etc and makes you edgy.

I would assume after all the chaos Edgy causes in Kamfi, the player would take initiative to find out where they came from, and follow them to the source. Also, Edji is the location of half the gyms.

Last thread or the thread before that people were tossing around ideas based more around lore than about any metaphors to real life, I think I'd prefer that but I don't know about anyone else. It seems counterproductive to challenge the comfy theme. Team Edgy are the bad guys that want to ruin everyone's comfort, any more than that isn't very comfy for the game.

Maybe the dad left the family for some comfort related reason (went off with some hot girl who sells plushies or something idk we can decide on that later) and so the mom wants to get revenge by destroying all things comfy. I forget what's all in the comfy dex but some gym ideas:

Wintery gym possible pokemon: Fire and ice theme
Snorunt, piloswine, beartic, sealeo/walrein, magcargo, torkoal, heatmor (its like a furnace), maybe a fluffy one like arcanine.

Obviously he/she wouldn't have this many pokemon, just throwing ideas out there.

Mother & Baby leader: normal/fairy(or bug??)
Kangaskan, chansey, sylveon, swirlix, maybe throw a Leavanny in there just because.

some other ideas I thought of:
teddy-holding girl is a trainer class that only uses bear pokemon, if they're evolved or not just depends on how far you are. Shut-ins uses mainly Swadloon and other pokemon that wrap themselves up. Bagman has six Burmy. Super Nerds only use feminine pokemon. Bedheads and the other jammie wearing ones (like in the sprites) all use different sets of general comfy pokemon(slakoth girl obviously uses that pokemon, plus one or two others interchangeably).
