I like Gardevoir, Latias, Metagross, and Jirachi, but Gardevoir is my favorite.

I play pokemon so that I can have a hobby. I don't have many of them but I feel like there's a cool community surrounding the game and I could make a few friends off of it. I also feel an obligation to live with the series until either myself or the series dies, since I played it very much when I was a kid. I don't like dropping series when I can afford not to.

Gardevoir. I like Gardevoir because I love ballroom dancing but have never been graceful, whereas Gardevoir typically are considered to be. In addition I like the ethereal design that they were given as it reminds me of fairy tales.

I play Pokemon because I both like the system and the artistic designs of plenty of them.

Typhlosion. I find it to be a great combination of tough looking and adorable. I mean look at it, it looks super soft and fuzzy. It also strikes me as a loyal companion, loyalty being something I value highly.

I mainly enjoy seeing all the new pokemon of each generation. The competitive scene is pretty fun as well, even with the smogon set meta.

I play for the battles. I love almost everything about Pokemon battles: the intricacy of stat distributions and typings, the vast number of move and ability combinations, the sheer amount of data required to analyze a battle, the flow of turn-based gameplay, and (most importantly) the excitement one gets from not knowing the opponent's team. This part, of course, results entirely from all the aforementioned qualities and the nature of human beings.

I've taken other longer tests and I usually get INTP but I see I have qualities of both.

My favorite pokemon is Breloom. I'm not really sure why. I like grass types and its design is really unique.

I've been playing pokemon since I was 5 and just haven't stopped. I like other games and series more but pokemon is always consistently fun for me.

My favorite Pokemon is a huge toss-up. Generally, it's a tie between Heracross, Gliscor, and Snorlax, but it seems to change daily based on how I play and what sort of designs I take a liking to.
As for why I play, I really don't know of one reason going over the others. In-game is fun because of the element of venturing out and fighting while pretty much anything gets the job done, and of course it contains the music and visuals of the overworld. However, competitive play is fun for the strategic element and the ability to ditch a search for new Pokemon for a search for new ways to play. This makes problems at the same time, as competitive play will turn into "Unlimited Choice Prediction-Works, leave fun at home," while in-game turns into "One-shot everything with attacking moves."

I always loved Cubone's design, but I've since accepted that I like Marowak a bit more. But, yeah, I like it because of its design. The couple of times I'm actually put in the effort too, it's been a great pokemon.
I play because I like getting through the game with a team I've never used before. I might favor one starter over the course of playthroughs, but I try not to have any repeats in my party. I'll usually do endgame stuff on my first playthrough, but generally, I just like to get through the E4.

Tie between Espeon and Umbreon. Eevee was easily one of my favorite gen 1 Pokémon, I fell in love with the day/night concept in gen 2 and Espeon and Umbreon's perceived opposites. I was into harmony, yin-yang, and whatnot back then, too, I guess.

Every new game comes with something new that's inspiring in its own way. I guess it also evolved into one of my bigger hobbies (no pun intended).

Latios because I've always liked the Eon duo (latias was my sis in post game emerald) and Latios is my bro in post game black 2 and in competitive play. I also love his design.

I've recently fallen in love with Rotom. Zap Zap motherfucker. He's really cool looking and the idea of having an electric ghost that can take control of electronics is cool.

It's hard to pick my favourite, but probably Arcanine. I like dogs and fire types, and he can learn a pretty wide range of moves. Whenever I have one it's always a tank.

I usually have tiers of how much I like something so I would normally not say I had a favorite, but Dunsparce keeps getting a top spot so that must be it.

Marowak is my favourite Pokémon. It has a nice design and my Marowak wrecked any opponent he faced.

I like it for the visual aspects mostly, I think. Especially with firered/leafgreen, the game looks perfect for a gameboy game, and all the sprites look just right. I like how you explore the world in-game, I like the battle system, learning moves, the names of the moves.

I even just really like the premise of roving around and capturing/battling with monsters.

TLDR - purty visuals and nerdy system

Anyways, my favorite Pokemon is Crobat. I just love the guy. He always pulls through for me in a clinch, and his evolution method is really neat considering his grumpy face and the fact that he's the broest Pokemon I've ever used.

I continue to play this franchise because I enjoy it. It has a great formula based around a neat concept of strategy and counter-strategy. The game in its entirety is just addicting.

I'll always love Shellder. If I had to choose one Pokemon to have in real life it would be him. I've always found him adorable. I wouldn't even bother evolving it, even if Cloyster is pretty awesome in his own right.

Its a toss up between Butterfree and Lickitung. I always made sure I kepy my Butterfree the whole game back in the day and I really liked Lickitung but never knew where/ how to get one.

My favorite Pokemon often switches between Deoxys and Crawdaunt. I like both of them a lot, but I end up using Crawdaunt more, for obvious reasons, so I tend to prefer it when I'm not playing my save file with Deoxys. Their color scheme resonates well with me, and I like their min/max stat spreads though I do wish Crawdaunt had a better spread

I play Pokemon since it's the only RPG that lets me beat it with no required Pokemon. I can always choose what I like the most, I can set my own rules, and it gives me the objective of building a balanced team.

As for my favorite pokemon, I'd have to say Starmie. Appealed to me since I was a little kid, as I've always had a fascination with space and gemstones, as well as the more bizarre lifeforms on Earth.
The main reason I play pokemon is that I really enjoy trying new things out with new sets and off-kilter strategies. I rarely ever win but when I do I get some satisfaction out of it. I guess I could always just copypaste a set off smogon but I'd rather make my own team.

Pokemon combines my love of individual growth, strategic/mentally involved battles, and it's a nice escape from reality. I wish I was in a place where I could just traverse the country on foot, seeing new places and meeting people I never knew existed.

picking a favorite has always been hard for me, but ill go with Aggron, he is a metal t-rex that eats mountains. but seriously, I like the design of his whole line, and he was a challenge to raise, but he made it all worth while

I've always liked pokemon, although i never played it as a kid (just watched the anime) I just like the idea of having these badass monsters (or cute fuzzy ones too) as pets.

Bulbasaur, I just enjoyed the fact that he was quiet and a bit serious as a kid, unlike the other starters.

I play pokemon because I enjoy discovering a new world everytime, also nostalgia. I did competitive battling for a bit, but since there's showdown, I think I don't need to waste more time on that

Gengar has always been my favorite because Pokemon Stadium was my first pokemon game, and he had the best preset moveset so I always used him.

I played it as a kid with Red and Blue, then played Gen 2 and 3 for nostalgia, and now as an adult and fan of gaming in general, there are no other series' that are as much consistent fun.

Kingler, because I love water Pokemon, especially ones that can learn crabhammer and the episode where Krabby gets into its first battle was my favourite.
I play Pokemon to go around and explore, have an adventure and see the various types of Pokemon they come up with. That and the fact that I love making different sorts of teams and see all the different moves.

My favorite Pokemon is haunter, mostly beacause of its showcasing in the anime. I always thought that the haunted that ask caught had amazing personality. Now, I just love all ghost Pokemon, so it's honestly hard to pick. It's really a tie between haunter, gengar, spiritomb, and chandelure. I love them all pretty equally.

I play Pokemon because it gives me so much nostalgia. I grew up when the anime had just gotten big in the US, and I watched it nearly every day. I would also play the video games with my best friend and we also had bucketloads of the toys that we would play with as kids. So definitely the nostalgia and not wanting to grow up is the main reason I play Pokemon.

Blaziken, its design is just so good. It became my favorite Pokemon the moment I saw it in the R/S commercial.
I play Pokemon for the main game; I tend to avoid the metagame. The main game is enjoyable because of how your Pokemon grow increasingly stronger and defeat increasingly harder foes.
