And before you say "It's a different one", it's WHITE, smaller than a human, and all Cobalion are known to travel with Terrakion and Virizion. It's considered a know fact in Unova at least. The thought of one being caught in the anime is baffling.
Now, before you bring up that Latios and Latias can be caught separately in the anime, they don't travel exclusively with each other, they just tend to stick to their siblings because nature. It's either an Absol or a new Pokemon.
