It wasn't very obvious, though, you had to think about it for a bit. Right now, the only thing supporting this is that we've had it for three gens in a row now. The first two Fire starters were not half Fighting, so I'd hardly say that's all they can be, but if the standard was somehow changed, I can't say. Nonetheless, no one wants to see it again. It would be a HORRIFIC mistake for Gamefreak to use it again for the reason I stated, no one would EVER use a Fire starter again. (And in my personal opinion, they should retcon the first two starters if that's how they feel on the matter) If you want to pretend Gamefreak no longer cares, though, I suppose you can do that, but I think you know what happens when people become too attached to patterns. Also, which parts of Pokebeach's info are you willing to believe when so much of it was true? There's at least two things that aren't looking good for being real. Regardless, using your logic, what we were first shown for Fennekin seems to contradict what they're saying now. Beta? I don't think so. Why would they change types like that? If we're going to argue that, then there's no flipping point to even discussing this since they can apparently change whatever the flip they want at any moment. X/Y might as well not even exist.
