Why not just download a ROM. Also my Silver doesn't save, it works, just doesn't save half the time.

did that, then i cleaned off the pins with a cotton swab and it might've made it worse.

it used to get past that screen and hang on a white screen forever, now it is just stuck on the broken nintendo logo.
