I've been playing this game for the past 2 days, and I have to say I'm enjoying this more than any of the officially released Pokémon adventure games.
Exploring in this game is the most fun I've ever had; and I don't usually ever take the time to explore in games because i'm too impatient. Pokémon are scarce and items even more so, unless you take the time to explore which makes the whole process extremely rewarding. I actually WANT to check every nook and cranny for the hopes of getting a Pokémon or item which I need.
I've only just completed the third Gym (Shelly), and the game has been difficult; but not to the point where i had to mindlessly grind my Pokémon up 4-5 levels to have a chance. The developers made great choices balancing the game via limited money for less item spamming; and putting level caps on Pokémon to avoid players over-leveling, which completely defeats the point of playing any Pokémon game in my opinion.
Also the music is fucking amazing.
