Which of the "special" event Pokemon are the coolest in your opinion, /vp/?

I personally don't give a fuck about movie legendaries, but I think Pokemon representing the characters in the anime like Ash's Pikachu is pretty cool.
Pokemon with special OTs like Shokotan is pretty spiffy too.

That's right. Ash not evolving pikachu has brought Pikachu near to death on multiple occasions.

Notched Ear Pichu is a part of the game's code. An unevolving pikachu would have to pre-existing in the game's code.

You can't just make a pikachu and tag it as unevolvable.

You could get Thunder Stones in Yellow. In fact I believe you could buy them. Pikachu would not evolve and give you a "please dont rape me face" if you tried using it on him

Unevolving Pikachu was part of the game's code, not the Pikachu itself. The game code will refuse the evolution of Pikachu IF THAT PIKACHU IS YOUR STARTER, as determined by its ID numbers matching your own. If you trade in another Pikachu, it will be able to evolve--unless, by great coincidence, it also happens to have the exact same ID numbers. This goes to show you that it's not the Pokemon itself that is marked with "do not evolve," but a part of the game's code that determines what can and can't evolve.

Since there is no such code in any Gen V (or IV or III or II) game, it's not possible to distribute an event Pikachu that can't evolve, even if it's (one of many over the years) Ash's Pikachu.
