I don't understand why people think it's going to be a Sudowoodo evo. I could understand if they looked alike but they really don't look anything alike. Not to mention Oorotto is clearly going to be some sort of grass type.

All those pokémons had new typings added, not their core typign changed.

And to make Sudowoodo an eligible Orotto evo, they would have to go far and beyond: They would have to remake it from scratch. They somwhow would have to deny that Sudowoodo has been a fossilized tree for years and try to pass as if Sudowood was just a 2spooky tree all along.

And yes, I'm aware of the Piloswine and Lickitung situations. I'm also aware I have 30+ cross-gen evolutions and pre-evolutions to prove my point

It's impossible for salamanders to shot ice too, it's a fantasy game. It's evolution in certain cases (Not all evolutions, but for example the eeveelotions are obviously just Eevee adapting to its environment, which is evolution), but not Darwinian evolution.

With Grass types, you can. Can you tell me a single Pokemon with plants growing on it that isn't a grass type? Not only that, but the entire design is based on a plant. If you can think of two other types that would make more sense on this Pokemon I'd love to know.

Sudowoodo has no leaves. It have green fingers but in every adaptation and art those fingers are solid circles while other Pokémon with leaves have a bushy look or individual leaves. Oorotto has leaves, it's a grass type.
