It's already pretty much confirmed that it will take a hell of a long time to download since over 5 million other people in the world will be downloading it the same time you're, so make a plan for it like you're waiting outside of Best Buy for Halo.
Just remember if you ever break or lose your 3DS, Nintendo don't let you re-download a game you bought, even if it is in your Eshop Library, you'll have to re-buy it.
