What is it with Pokémon and pervs?

All the people I know that are into Pokémon seem to be pervs. Most fanartists end up drawing smut too.

Be it lust for humans or pokémon, the franchise just seems to attract (or make) this kind of people.

Isn't it true? What do you think makes it this way?
