N was probably the best character in the series.
He stuck by his guns, which I wasn't really expecting. Most people in these games see one thing outside their mindset and instantly change their entire identity. N still acts the same in BW2, although not as blatantly.
Plus he's hot.

I actually liked N. He wasn't really meant to be villainous, he was raised in a controlled environment, subjected to indoctrination to make him into someone who could preform Ghetsis' will while stil believing they were morally righteous. But despite that, once he was exposed to the real world, he began more critical thinking, he grew as a character just as much as the protagonist. He was one of my favorite characters, and Ghetsis one of my favorite villains for his manipulation techniques.

No, what they came up with was a concept that is very hard to understand, OP. It was a concept that would take eons for you and various others to figure out, and then never be able to appreciate.

They wanted to do this revolutionary thing called a storyline. Maybe you've heard of it? They weren't trying to be 'edgy', 'mature', or 'cool', they were just trying to craft a story for the audience.

But clearly, it's too much of a new era kind of thing for you, since your feelings are that it's 'edgy' or 'mature'.

Maybe you should read more books sometime? I hear reading is good for you, and you get to experience more stories! Familiarize them with such things!

As for N himself? What's your point. Most characters in the games seem to obsess over Pokemon to varying degrees.

However, you clearly don't understand anything about characterization and story, so whatever~

He's actually a really interesting character, I was surprised to see someone like him in a Pokémon game. I've had quite a few friends who suffered from child abuse, and the issue with the way these characters are often presented in media is that the child abuse is ALL they ever talk about.
N's abuse was communicated through tiny little obsessions and habits, like the speaking quickly and the fear of people. It's a much more realistic approach to an abused character, but it was handled in a way in which younger audiences wouldn't feel too intimidated by it and older audiences wouldn't feel too belittled by it.
