OK, I haven't played since Red/blue but I just got my hands on
Platinum
Soul Silver
Ranger
White
I had an extra copy of platinum that I gave to my friend.
So what now? which game should I play first? Which games am I supposed to trade with? Since I haven't played in such a long time is there anything I should keep in mind?

hmm depends, OP. If you do white first, it may seem arduous going back to gen IV, because I think the pacing and metagame of gen 5 are the best. Personally I enjoyed white the most of the games you've listed, but like I said do whatever you want!
