These are too much. A 1 for 3 that can mill through 3 spells (by using heart scales on other heart scales) and then get any spell card in the deck is way overpowered.

I've just been scrolling by these threads and not participating at all, but I have to say, I'm amused by the titles most of these cards are getting.

Based on my memories of Yigioh from a decade ago, the titles really are reminscent of the obtuse names I remember a lot of those cards having.

It's easy to beat, at any rate. The card states "when THIS card targets a monster", so if your opponent attacks it, and "?" is treated as zero unless it has some modifier/effect, it's fucked.

or it could be like the original Yugi/Kaiba decks where the decks are based around the Trainers usual team... with some general spell cards like "running shoes" and "Town map" thrown in for good measure.

Since it's a starter deck you don't want people to imediately be using specific themes and types, but get a general acquaintance with all the different card types there are.

mostly attacks and key items for spells
abilities and defensive attacks for traps
equip items for equip spells
Weather for field spells
Don't be afraid to make some final evo's be lv4 normal beatsticks.
Most effect monstesr can be based on attacks also.

The card has been updated. Because there is a fatal flaw in the both monsters get destroyed-opponent takes LP damage=his monster idea.

Nobody in their right mind would attack Electrode and take LP damage at the same time. So it's basically a permanent Tuner monster, and that's a bit broken.

Well the issue I see with it is this.

Lets say they destroy Electrode with a Monster with 1500 ATK. You lose 100 LP, but in turn they lose 1500, it's not a viable situation to destroy Electrode no matter what you do. Yes destroying Electrode may yield LP damage to your opponent, but you're gonna take more in any situation.

It's best to just have Electrode be able to attack your opponent's LPs directly, and then destroy him immediately, because the effect would be broken if he could do so every turn.

This way he can be destroyed, or used in Synchro summons or what not.

sorry I meant that both took damage equal to the destroyer attack, besides letting him attack directly without the burn damage is not an issue since electrode won't survive more than 1 turn with such a low ATK and even then it is a monster that requires tribute so it is slow by nature, I think it is UP as hell.

Ok, so I was thinking that this game could function a little differently from yugioh. Overall the mechanics would be the same (tokens, damage etc) but instead of attacking the player, we attack the players avatar (similar to WOW tcg if anyones ever played it) That way we could attach status effects to Avatars and pokemon alike, like a real "war". Thats what i was thinking by implementing the "avatars". The avatar would function as you in game. And things like 'poison, paralysis, frozen etc' would affect the avatar. Also pokemon type advatnages would be implimented as well, although there wouldnt be such a huge bump like x2 damage. I was thinking maybe when pokemon did battle, if there was a type advantage for one of the pokes, damage dealt would be +250

Alright, here is some revisions I've made. I don't know if they are beneficial or not, but let me know.

TP. Electabuzz is now Level 4.
V. Elekid is now Level 2 and the ATK increase has been upped to 400.
T. Electivire is now a Ritual Card with the effect "Once per turn you may gain 100 Life Points times the amount of Spell/Trap Cards on the field".

Okay, so I just got finished checking the wiki, and I noticed that some of the cards that were added a few hours ago are no longer there. Whenever I scroll through, the cards "Prankster Illumise", "Porygon 2", "Rampardos", "Armaldo", and Eevee" aren't there, and it says the pictures are unavailable. Is this a technical error, or was this intentional? Should they just be re-uploaded?

It's not just being autistic, though. It's a slippery slope to things like "ice types" and eventually "pokemon with an attack stat higher than 100." If the game doesn't have strict limitations, it gets complicated and confusing too easily.

No, DEF and ATK are the numbers used to calculate certain things in each position. Each monster essentially has 1 HP in normal YuGiOh. It's not like Magic where the other stat is the HP.

It works both ways. Like the Bulbasaur style is the Booster set (GEN1 - 001), Same Bulbasaur in a Venusaur Structure Deck is, for example, SDV - 001.

Much more like the Blue Eyes White Dragon in Kaiba Structure Deck (SDK - 001) and the same monster in Legend of Blue Eyes set (LOB - 001)

I think you should make Electivire a Synchro that requires Elekid as a Tuner. As it stands right now, Electivire makes no sense, since that's not how Ritual Monsters work.

I can't think of a way to impliment Trade Link, sadly, but I think it's better this way.

Does anybody have any thoughts of these cards, since they're based on Cyber Dragons and cards that compliment them?

I feel like if we made this an actual game, Aggron, is going to have to have a ATK reduction down to 3000, if only because there might not be cards that could easily counter him.

If everyone likes it so far though, I can create the rest of my deck and upload it to the wiki.

Make it work with only one archetype or give it a cost. That's the only way to keep it from being a flat out ban. Probably end up Limited with a cost, Semi-Limited with an archetype restriction. Unlimited with both.

It does have a downside. It ends your turn.

Horn of the Unicorn raises both ATK and DEF by 700. The first effect is maybe a bit better than that.

Dian keto the cure master IS the second effect

The last one is a 1 for 1, which is worse than Legacy of Yatagarasu

On top of all that, you can't rely on which will happen and it's the last thing you can play. Nerfing it any more makes it useless

The turn ending isn't a downside since you'd activate it during MP2, and after that is the EP anyway.

As for HotU, that card is shit because it recycles itself and prevents you drawing if your opponent keeps attacking your monsters with it. So you either use it and probably won't draw, or you keep it for nothing.

Dian Keto is a separate and own card for a reason.

That's a full field of 1600s. Minimum. You play that later in the game when the beatsticks are out in full force, you don't even need that much if a little bit of damage has been done. You can't get more than one effect. If you get the 1000, you get NOTHING else. It's no more broken than Cure Master which is seldom used.

It's your burden to prove a card is broken. This card has a 2/3 chance of being the equivalent of a shit card, and a 1/3 chance of being equivalent to a decent card. That's not broken.

Any card that can give you draw power is not a shit card, doesn't matter if it's only one card. The only "bad" effect is the 1000 LP, and thats FREE LIFEPOINTS. You are guaranteed a good effect. At no real "cost" to you (oh no my turn is over! that's so bad!)

I'm not sure about increasing Seismitoad's ATK, because just by himself he becomes a 2300 on entry.

You were doing great until you had Mighty Display give all of them each others effects. Either drop their ATK some or get some other effect for Mighty Display (think of this: with 1 of each, you have 3 monsters that can halve a monsters attack, 3 monsters that are unable to be targeted by card effects, and 3 monsters that do minimum 1000 dmg). They're Level 4, so they're way too easy to get out. The Spirit-Monster type effect isn't enough of a drawback imo
