I fell in love with video games at the age of 5 with pokemon yellow and a purple Gameboy Color at the age of 5, Gold and Silver came out when I was 7, and RSE came out when I was 10 though I enjoyed the Gen 1 remake that followed and found myself playing it a lot more, then when I was 12 DPP came out then B/W and B2/W2 I have owned a copy of each installment to this wonderful series and cannot wait for the most magnificent inclusion of Gen 6. Although I've never caught them all.[\spoiler]

Not the same anon, but how is it canon for the main players as well if those names only apply to the rivals? They've already shown us that the default for the main characters are Xavier and Yvonne, and then Calem and Serena for the rival.

What do you mean? The rival's name doesn't make it the main character's canon name.

It just dawned on me... like REALLY hit me that I was still playing the same game that I played during recess in grade 4... 15 years later.

It was weird thinking that. Pokemon was different back then. It wasn't even really sure what it was yet. The show was new and hip and paired with the game REALLY well.

It's weird.

I feel a bit nostalgic about Gen 5. It feels, now that I look back on it, really rushed and it didn't seem to stick around for long. I mean there really isn't much to Gen 5.

I think that's simply because we're a lot older now. Gen 1 was actually the shortest. The English version anyways.

Oh it's a fantastic track, but an unfortunate shame that it could not be accurately transfered into a non-8-bit soundfont. I personally loved the original sound, but the newer sound did not quite replicate the same feeling (the same thing unfortunately happened with the Johto Trainer Battle music)
