I really doubt it's lumiose city because along with every other viable place on the map, have no train station. My guess is it's a different region. Except it seems to be heading going west...

It connects East/Mountain Kalos to the rest of the region because it's otherwise blocked off by ledges/rivers in the map. I guess it goes to Lumiose because that's the main hub city.

What is this picture implying? That you can get to the other 5 regions from that one rail system in Kalos? Seems really far fetched, especially that many regions.

That might explain why the game is 1.7 gigabytes. By comparison, OoT 3D is only half a gig.

It goes to the Victory Road area. If you look closely, there is no cave or route connecting to that space within the mountain, but there is a dark rectangle on the ground in front of the path. That rectangle is probably the entrance to an underground train station.

The pokemon models don't take that much space, it would be the tens of thousands of other models that fill it up and the animations take almost no space simply because of how models are actually animated.
