tl;dr: Gamefreak wants to dumb down this franchise for the kids. It couldn't be more obvious and yet so underhanded.

And they'll probably show this to the rest of us that like Pokemon too. Hell, that fighting move Fennekin has was probably a "fuck you" to everyone not wanting the fourth fire/fighter starter in a row.
