Guys, help me, please.

When I go to Nintendo WFC settings on White 2 I get this:

"Please configure your connection settings under the Internet option in the System Settings. For help, visit support.nintendo.com"

I have been able to go to edit Nintendo WFC settings just fine in SoulSilver and Platinum. I have read that this error comes because gen 5 games support WPA2 but my security is disabled, so that can't be a problem, can't it?

I haven't used USB to get my wifi so I suppose this isn't some firewall bullshit, or what?

You need to change from WPA2 security to WEP. It's very easy to do under Network Security.

You should never disable your security.

Change to WEP. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

Okay. Sorry I am really shit at these stuff so I might ask some dumb questions.

And now I ask that are some WEP key needed? Is it enough that I just check it and save?

Well fuck me, changed to WEP and reset my connection settings on DS and then tried, didn't work.

Another thing you can try is switching to WPA2-Personal. It depends on your router. It might not be available.

Actually scratch that. Did you make sure to set up your connection on the DS under "Advanced Setup?" This is key.

Are you using a 3DS or an DSi onward? If so you need to set it up from the system menu, not the ingame one.

Most likely it's firewall bullshit, I used to live with my grandparents and whenever my grandpa's computer was plugged into the modem at all that my router was plugged into, any sort of internet connection through the router became impossible. There was no USB involved, just ethernet cables.

Advance setup might help too.

DSi and the problem is that I can't go to the ingame menu and I need to get there. If I go there I get the error message I mentioned in the first post.

Also, the connection is now under Advanced Setup. Did not work, bawwww.

Do it from the console's menu. Don't do it ingame. If it still doesn't work, just remove the firewalls or change the settings and don't tell him. There might be some port forwarding you can do to bypass the firewall, but I don't feel like getting in to that. You could probably Google a tutorial.

You don't need to go there because the DSi system already has the EXACT SAME MENU. It didn't have that in the original DS but not it does so the game tells you to do it from the system menu. You're not missing anything.

Go to the system menu from your DSi, click on "internet settings" and then there you are, the exact same menu as you would find in-game.
