This would be a great time for it, too. They've already introduced small areas where you can do it, and the last remakes had your first party pokemon be in the overworld with you. So in this remakes, they'd kick it up a notch: faster species of pokemon would replace Mach bikes, while more dextrous species would replace Acro bikes. Not all pokemon could be ridden on land, similarly to how not all pokemon can Surf even if they can "swim"and not all can Fly even if they have wings.
I know it'll never happen, which makes it x10 worse.
