Close Combat doesn't count, and I think it also has kicks in the animation.
I think I've said before that Gliscor gets Sky Uppercut, Swampert gets Hammer Arm, and Seismitoad gets Drain Punch and none of them are Fighting-type.
It doesn't matter. I think Glow Punch is a projection of glowing energy in the form of a fist, so either Psychic or Fairy or maybe even Fire.
