My favorite starter is Tototdile, my favorite Pokemon is Feraligatr. But there's something I never really understood. Why is Croconaw a caveman? I never saw a legitimat reason to make it one.

He was meant to look like a dinosaur, so the caveman motif fit. Plus, it gave precedent for Feraligatr being based off of a prehistoric croc.
